A large and colourful and unusual handmade hobo sling bag, crocheted in natural neutral jute and richly embellished with crocheted flowers and assorted trinkets.

A highly original and unusual shoulder bag exuberantly embellished with coloured flowers in profusion and many styles; silks, raffia, wool, chenille, lurex and more, both handmade and artificial – to relieve the monotony, add in assorted trinkets, badges and a few cherries. This bag is unlined and constructed with a shell of crocheted natural undyed jute. Much like a cocoon, it is made all in one piece to create a large capacious bag with integral sling strap handle.

I use natural jute, it is a natural plant based fibre and from a sustainable source. It is strong, durable and holds it's form well, an ideal material for these bag designs.
