A stylish cocoon style tote bag handmade in crocheted in vibrant red raffia trimmed with an all over decoration of handcrafted orange flowers.

An original style tote bag made in a rich burgundy raffia, crocheted in a one piece unlined shell with an integral carrying strap handle. It is decorated all over with large chunky handcrafted raffia flowers. The raffia used in this bag is sadly no longer produced in this gorgeous colour, it was some of the the last of my dwindling hoarded stock.

This bag would make a pretty and stylish everyday bag for summer. It's teardrop form allows plenty of capacity to accommodate your personal survival kits for any social occasion, festivals, weddings, summer balls, garden parties etc.

Natural paper raffia is a great eco friendly bio degradable and recyclable organic material made from natural plant fibres. It is extremely strong, particularly the ribbon type used here, yet very lightweight, These are very durable bags and easy to maintain. As long as not allowed to soak, they will happily endure gentle washing, swished in warm soapy water, then patting dry with a towel.
